The Kids Community Garden
A partnership between the market and the R-7 school district, the garden is located on Aylor Street between the kindergarten and the middle school.
We garden each week from 3 to 4 on Wednesdays.
Any child, 5th grade age or older, regardless of residency, is welcome to join the garden. Younger children may participate if accompanied by a parent, guardian or teacher. (at left, digging sweet potatoes)
Gardeners take home the harvest for their family, donate excess to local food pantries and take turns selling at the farmers market.
