Calling for Meal Vendors

The Webb City Farmers Market is accepting proposals for vendors
for the Tuesday and Thursday meals during the 2019 season.
The meal vendor must comply with all market regulations and pay the usual market fees.  Proposals do not have to mirror past meals at the market.

The Tuesday and Thursday markets are open from mid-April through September or until the end of the regular season. The Tuesday meal is served from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The Thursday meal is served from 11 am to 2 pm.

Certifications...

The meal vendor must be certified by the health department and comply with health department regulations. An inspected kitchen is available on the market for hourly, weekly or monthly rental rates but meal vendors may use their own or another kitchen if it is inspected by the health department. Details on the market kitchen are available at
www.webbcityfarmersmarket.com under the kitchen tab.

Are you ready...

The selected business(es) should bring enough food to satisfy customer demand for the full meal period. If the meal vendor cannot provide the meal on a specific date, one week’s notice must be given to the market (emergencies excepted). The meal vendor is responsible for clearing/cleaning picnic tables before, during and after the meal and for removing trash to the park dumpster. The meal vendor must provide all their own supplies (ice, napkins, plates, trash bag liners, etc)

Consideration...

The board will consider proposals for Tuesday markets only, for Thursday markets only, and for Tuesday and Thursday markets combined.

Proposals submitted after March 15 will not be considered unless no satisfactory proposal is received. The Board of the Webb City Farmers Market will select the proposal(s) they think will be the most successful at the market.

our part...

The meal vendor must provide menus one week in advance for the market’s extensive publicity program. The meal vendor will be included in press releases issued by the market,
as well as in Facebook posts.

The market does have picnic tables on site for customers.

The vendor may store folding tables on site.

What your proposal should include

- sample menus for four (or more) meals including the price to the customer.
- or a
set menu, should it not change from market to market, including price to the customer.

All other things being equal:
the board will give preference to vendors using local food sources and to vendors minimizing waste (such as using paper instead of Styrofoam).

Proposals should be sent to:
The Webb City Farmers Market, PO Box 1, Webb City, MO 64870
or dropped by the market information table.
